Operator - Communications - Per Diem - Variable

Position Summary
The Operator will be responsible for operating the switchboard, providing information to callers, directing calls to the appropriate areas, and notifying the appropriate staff in emergency situations by pages and codes.
Job Requirements
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must be competent in basic computer skills
Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is desired
Excellent verbal communication skills required. Must be able to read and speak English.
Must be able to see, hear and move intermittently or use prosthetics or equipment to adequately meet the requirements of the position. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with occasional walking/standing.
Must be able to respond appropriately to pressure of simultaneous calls/demands and appropriately respond to upset callers
May be exposed to infectious/contagious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and hazardous materials in the hospital setting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
