Room Service Operator - Nutrition Services Call Center - Per Diem - Variable

Basic Purpose:

  • Answers calls from patients, family and staff for all patient meals.
  • Responsible to maintain patients' diet restrictions as prescribed by MD and assist patient through process.
  • Maintains area and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Observes all safety procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some knowledge of weights and measurements.
  • Requires the ability to make change and keep records accurately.
  • Ability to move about the hospital and between workstations.
  • Ability to communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to temperature changes, humid/hot conditions and unpleasant odors.
  • Occasionally move heavy carts and frequently lift light to medium weight equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to maintain a productive work pace.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
